Nice game, a little weird. I found a strategy that worked decently. I would just use air attacks until I got my magic kiss, then I keep my guard up and keep shooting it with my kiss. After a while, when he spins you will get hit then you just run off to the other side so he has to come after you and do this again and over and over until the guy shows himself. Don't use the magic too much or else you'll still get hit in between it.
